Dalton Rosta asked for a top contender to prove he’s ready for a PFL championship.
Rosta (11-2) takes on 2023 PFL light heavyweight champion Impa Kasanganay (19-6) in the PFL Pittsburgh co-main event March 28 from UPMC Events Center.

Rosta will look to rebound from a head-kick loss to Fabian Edwards in the 2025 PFL World Tournament middleweight final, which snapped his three-fight winning streak. Costello van Steenis defends his middleweight title against Edwards in the PFL Madrid headliner on March 20, and Rosta aims to position himself to face the winner.
“Yeah, 1,000 percent, and that’s why I asked for this fight,” Rosta told MMA Junkie Radio. “I asked for either Impa or Johnny (Eblen). I told my manager I don’t care which one of them I fight, they’re both a tough fight, and I know that they get me back in the title picture. I know I could beat them, I know I’m the best, and I just want to get back to that title as soon as possible so I can prove that.”
Kasanganay has struggled as of late, going 4-3 since winning the light heavyweight season in 2023. He recently snapped a two-fight losing skid by defeating Andrew Sanchez by TKO this past August. Rosta is expecting a hungry Kasanganay and is hunting a finish to prove a point to himself.
“I’m expecting the aggressive Impa,” Rosta said. “I’m expecting the best Impa, and if that’s not the one that comes, so be it. But I’m preparing for the better Impa, and he’s no one to take lightly. He’s a really good fighter. He has a lot of power. He’s explosive.

“He’s similar to me in a lot of ways, and I feel like this is a fight where we both have to be damn near perfect or else it’s definitely not going to go to the judges. I don’t need a finish, but I want to get a finish, and I want to get back to my finishing ways.”
