Damir Dzumhur had "a crazy" experience yesterday as he was in the middle of a podcast appearance when he was informed by the anti-doping authorities that they were at his house for a control.
Dzumhur, whose 2025 season came to an end in early November with a round-of-16 loss in Athens, resides in Belgrade and he agreed to be a guest on the Wish and Go Show on Monday. But as the three-time ATP champion was speaking with host Nebojsa Viskovic, the doping testers knocked on his door. And since players could face sanctions for missing doping controls, the Bosnian tennis player didn't want to risk anything – his appearance abruptly ended – and he went home to provide a sample.
What makes it even funnier is the fact that Dzumhur and Viskovic were discussing doping measures in tennis just before he had to leave the show.
Dzumur: It was live drama… I thought it was a joke, but it wasn't
"Crazy story. I was going live at ©wishandgoshow podcast when I got call from antidoping that they are at my place so I had to head back home and unfortunately finish show with @nebojsaviskovic earlier than expected but it was live drama and and the craziest thing about it is that we were talking about antidoping just before that so we thought it was a joke but it was not. Sorry about it because we had such a good talk, but we ll do it again very soon!" the former world No. 23 shared on his Instagram Story.
