Danhausen’s latest scheme to take out “The Ass Boys” went hilariously wrong — and the AEW star found out the hard way that not every idea plays out as well in real life as it does in your head.
Over the weekend, the AEW and ROH fan favorite posted a video to Instagram showing him approaching WWE Hall of Famers Ron Simmons and JBL with what he thought was a clever plan. After his long-running feud with The Gunns — Austin and Colten Gunn — Danhausen decided it was time to bring in some muscle. His pick? The legendary APA tag team.
Things started out promising when Danhausen mentioned who he wanted handled. JBL immediately lit up at the name, recalling how much he enjoyed beating up Billy Gunn in the past. But that excitement quickly fizzled when Danhausen revealed the payment he was offering: $10, an apple, and a can of Coke Zero.
Ron Simmons took the $10 bill, and for a brief moment, it seemed like he was about to drop his iconic “Damn!” catchphrase. Instead, Simmons said it was the dumbest thing he’d ever heard.
Danhausen may not have gotten the APA’s help, but he did walk away with another unforgettable moment — and proof that some ideas are better left as ideas.
Do you think JBL and Ron Simmons should have taken Danhausen up on his offer just for the laughs? Drop your thoughts in the comments.
