Dartmouth Hires Allison Henry as Assistant Coach
Dartmouth Friday hired Allison Henry as an assistant coach for the men’s and women’s swimming and diving staff.
Henry arrives after wrapping up her college career at Virginia Tech in 2024. The Philadelphia native was an individual medley, breaststroke and butterfly specialist who was a Dean’s List honoree in each of her semesters. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in public health, then received a master’s degree in applied nutrition and physical activity in 2025 from Blacksburg.
“Allison is a great addition to our coaching staff,” Dartmouth head coach Milana Socha said in a press release. “She distinguished herself in the hiring process with her organization, passion for the sport and understanding of the operations of a collegiate team. We are excited to see her translate lessons learned as a student-athlete onto the deck as a coach, and know that she will be a great supporter and go-to person for our student-athletes.”
Henry’s postgraduate coaching experience includes as an assistant at Somerton Springs Swim Club in Feasterville, Pa., and as an assistant at NRG Swimming in nearby Langhorne.
“I’m thrilled to be joining Dartmouth swim and dive,” Henry said. “Being part of an Ivy League program means working with student-athletes who strive for excellence in every way, and I can’t wait to support them as they chase big goals in the pool and beyond.”
