South Carolina women’s basketball head coach Dawn Staley is preparing for another season.
Staley is set to begin her 18th season as the Gamecocks’ head coach. She has a record of 475-110 with three NCAA Tournament titles and six Final Four trips, including three straight times playing in the final weekend.

Off the court, Staley is still making waves. In May, she released her book, titled “Uncommon Favor.”
The book follows South Carolina’s run to the NCAA Tournament championship game, where Staley’s team lost to Paige Bueckers and the UConn Huskies.
On Wednesday, Staley revealed some big news for those in the South Carolina area.

Staley announced the news in a video on her Instagram reel.
“To my South Carolinians, nearby fans and friends, I’ve got something special for you. On October 24, I’m going to be on my home turf, Colonial Life Arena, to talk about my book, my life, Gamecock basketball, and more, with my good friend Charlamagne Tha God.”

“October 24, you gotta come see us,” Staley continued. “Lots to talk about. Lots to fill you in on. “Uncommon Favor” has been great to me to share conversations with you about the goodness of this here life of mine and your life journey because a lot of it resonates with a lot of you…I look forward to seeing all of you.”
Staley also had a successful college career and a WNBA run. In college, she played at the University of Virginia, and she played eight WNBA seasons with the Charlotte Sting and Houston Comets.

Staley will be at Colonial Life Arena, the home of the Gamecocks, for the special event with Charlamagne Tha God.
The event begins at 4:30 pm ET, and right after that, South Carolina faces Anderson in an exhibition game.
