DeAaron Fox Spurs Agree To Four Year $229M Max Extension

by

De’Aaron Fox and the San Antonio Spurs have agreed upon a four-year, $229 million max extension. The Spurs acquired Fox before the 2025 trade deadline from the Sacramento Kings after his trade request. San Antonio was Fox’s preferred destination.

Fox, who is represented by Rich Paul, will be tied to the Spurs through the 2029-30 season as the last season of the deal doesn’t contain a player option. San Antonio now has a core of Fox, Victor Wembanyama, Stephon Castle and Dylan Harper under long-term team control.

In 17 after his trade to the Spurs, Fox averaged 19.7 points, 4.3 rebounds and 6.8 assists in 34.0 minutes.

Fox was both an All-Star and an All-NBA Third Team selection in 2023 when the Kings had the No. 3 seed in the Western Conference.
