The third annual Noche UFC extravaganza took place Saturday with UFC Fight Night 259 at Frost Bank Arena in San Antonio, Texas.

There were eight finishes in 14 fights, but the biggest of all belonged to headliner Diego Lopes (27-7 MMA, 6-2 UFC), who turned in a sensational second-round TKO of Jean Silva (16-3 MMA, 5-1 UFC) after a back-and-forth battle that is getting Fight of the Year buzz.

Events stats

The UFC Promotional Guidelines Compliance payout for the event totaled $212,000.

Debuting fighters went 3-2 at the event.

Silva and Santiago Luna earned $50,000 UFC Fight Night 259 fight-night bonuses. Lopes received two bonuses for $100,000.

UFC Fight Night 259 drew an announced attendance of 18,005 for a live gate of $3,586,669.

Betting favorites went 5-8 on the card. One fight ended in a no contest.

Betting favorites fell to 18-13 in UFC headliners this year.

Total fight time for the 14-bout card was 2:23:55.

Diego Lopes def. Jean Silva

Lopes has earned 22 of his 26 career victories by stoppage. That includes four of his six UFC wins.

Lopes’ five victories since 2023 in UFC featherweight competition are tied for second-most in the division behind Lerone Murphy (six).

Lopes earned two bonuses – Performance of the Night and Fight of the Night – for $100,000.

Silva suffered the first stoppage loss of his career with a TKO defeat.

David Martinez def. Rob Font

Rob Font (22-9 MMA, 12-8 UFC) fell to 3-5 in his past eight fights dating back to December 2021.

Font has suffered eight of his nine career losses by decision.

Rafa Garcia def. Jared Gordon

Jared Gordon (21-8 MMA, 9-7 UFC) has suffered six of his eight career losses by stoppage.

Kelvin Gastelum def. Dustin Stoltzfus

Kelvin Gastelum (19-10 MMA, 14-10 UFC) got the win after missing weight by five pounds.

Alexander Hernandez def. Diego Ferreira

Alexander Hernandez’s (18-8 MMA, 10-7 UFC) five-fight UFC winning streak at lightweight is tied with Nasrat Haqparast and Fares Ziam for the second-longest active streak in the division behind Paddy Pimblett (seven).

Diego Ferreira (19-7 MMA, 10-7 UFC) has suffered all four of his career stoppage losses by knockout.

Santiago Luna def. Quang Le

Luna (7-0 MMA, 1-0 UFC) has earned all seven of his career victories by stoppage.

Quang Le (9-3 MMA, 1-3 UFC) fell to 1-3 in his past four fights after starting his career 8-0.

Le has suffered two of his three career losses by stoppage.

Le has suffered both of his career stoppage losses by knockout.

Dusko Todorovic def. Jose Daniel Medina

Dusko Todorovic (13-6 MMA, 4-6 UFC) has earned 12 of his 13 career victories by stoppage. He’s finished eight of those wins in Round 1.

Jose Daniel Medina’s (11-6 MMA, 0-3 UFC) four-fight losing skid is the longest of his career. He hasn’t earned a victory since March 2023.

Joaquim Silva def. Claudio Puelles

Joaquim Silva (14-5 MMA, 7-5 UFC) has earned four of his seven UFC victories by decision.

Claudio Puelles’ (12-5 MMA, 5-4 UFC) three-fight losing skid is the longest of his career. He hasn’t earned a victory since April 2022.

Puelles has suffered three of his five career losses by decision.

Tatiana Suarez def. Amanda Lemos

Tatiana Suarez (12-1 MMA, 8-1 UFC) has completed at least one takedown against all nine of her UFC opponents.

Jesus Aguilar def. Luis Gurule

Luis Gurule (10-2 MMA, 0-2 UFC) has suffered consecutive losses after starting his career 10-0.

Gurule suffered the first decision loss of his career.

Alden Coria def. Alessandro Costa

Alden Coria (11-3 MMA, 1-0 UFC) has earned nine of his 11 victories by stoppage.

Alessandro Costa (14-5 MMA, 2-3 UFC) has suffered three of his five career losses by stoppage.

Costa has suffered all three of his career stoppage losses by knockout.

Alice Pereira def. Montserrat Rendon

Montserrat Rendon (7-1 MMA, 2-1 UFC) has earned all seven of her career victories by decision.

Alice Pereira (6-1 MMA, 0-1 UFC) had her six-fight winning streak snapped for the first defeat of his career.

Daniil Donchenko def. Rodrigo Sezinando

Daniil Donchenko (12-2 MMA, 1-0 UFC) became the Season 33 welterweight winner of “The Ultimate Fighter” reality series.

Donchenko has earned 10 of his 12 career victories by stoppage.

Rodrigo Sezinando (8-2 MMA, 0-1 UFC) suffered the first stoppage loss of his career with a TKO defeat.
