Team #DIY is back in NXT.
WWE NXT’s September 2 episode was quite a show. That included a rude awakening for Trick Williams.
Trick Williams got in the ring during the show’s second hour. Then he stated that he claimed to be the hottest NXT Superstar of all time. He also noted that no former NXT Superstars tried to put him in his place.
After saying that it may be because people believe he is the hottest NXT Superstar, or they don’t care. Then Trick Williams was surprised to see #DIY come out.
Tommaso Ciampa and Johnny Gargano made their way out, and fans chanted “welcome back.” They brought up how NXT Homecoming is going down in two weeks, and they also mentioned how they are both former NXT Champions.
After going over the titles that they’ve won, DIY admitted that they never won the TNA Title. Then Johnny Gargano said that although Trick Williams is great, him being the greatest is still up in the air. Ciampa said that there are two guys who bled black and gold to pave the way for Trick Williams, DIY.
Trick Williams then fired back to say that he took DIY’s accolades and kicked them to the curve, because he’s still the greatest NXT Superstar of all time. A shoving match escalated from that point to DIY nailing Trick with their double team finisher to end the segment.
We will have to see what happens next, but DIY will forever be NXT. Only time will tell if this means that they will be back at Homecoming.
