Djokovic Will Play Turin, Says Italian Federation Chief – Tennis Now

Novak Djokovic will take his talents to Turin, says the Italian Federation Chief.

While there has been some speculation the Grand Slam King might shut down his season after playing Athens this week, Djokovic has apparently confirmed he plans to play the ATP Finals in Turin.

“We have confirmation that Djokovic will be in Turin,” Italian Federation president Angelo Binaghi said on Rai Gr Parlamento radio.

If the 38-year-old Serbian superstar plays Turin it will mark his first appearance at the season-ending event since he swept Jannik Sinner 6-3, 6-3 in the 2023 final to capture his seventh ATP Finals championship.

The fourth-ranked Djokovic won his 100th career title in Geneva earlier this year, reached the Miami Open final and semifinals at all four Grand Slam tournaments. Djokovic lost to Carlos Alcaraz in the US Open final four after bowing to Sinner in both the Roland Garros and Wimbledon semifinals.

Djokovic carries a 35-11 record into this week’s Athens Open where he is top seed.
