Iowa State basketball guard Dominick Nelson is out for the Cyclones’ game against Alcorn State on Wednesday, Dec. 3.
According to a team spokesperson, he is day-to-day with a groin injury.
Nelson has been one of the Cyclones’ go-to players off the bench this season. Across seven games, he is averaging 7.4 points and 1.7 rebounds over 14.4 minutes per game.

The 6-foot-5 senior averaged 14.4 points, 5.2 rebounds and 1.7 assists per game at Utah Valley last season, where he was also conference player of the year in his first season of Division I basketball.
Tamin Lipsey, who is also day-to-day with a groin injury and hasn’t played since going down in the 83-82 win over St. John’s on Nov. 24, still remains out.
