Dominik Mysterio is out of action with a rib injury, but that hasn’t stopped the drama from following him off-screen. On July 20, 2025, the Judgment Day member took to Instagram Stories with a screenshot of an alleged text from AJ Styles—and it has fans doing a double take.
In the photo, a message is shown with a shot of a young Dominik from the infamous 2005 Eddie Guerrero custody storyline. The sender captioned it: “AJ Styles is going to whoop this kids 🐐”
Dominik followed that post with a strong response, tagging Styles directly and claiming harassment. “@ajstylesp1 leave me alone this is harassment”
He didn’t stop there. Dominik also questioned how Styles got his number and appealed to federal authorities. “How did you even get my number?? @FBI please handle this.”
This comes after Dominik was pulled from his scheduled match against AJ Styles at WWE Night of Champions. General Manager Adam Pearce confirmed on RAW that Dom suffered a rib injury and couldn’t compete in Saudi Arabia. While some thought it was part of the storyline, sources backstage later confirmed the injury is legitimate—but minor.
Still, Pearce hinted that Dominik could be cleared soon. On the July 14 episode of RAW, Pearce confronted Dom backstage and pointed out that he was “jumping around” during a match. Despite Dom showing medical paperwork, Pearce revealed he’d already spoken to the doctors.
If cleared, Dominik will defend the Intercontinental Championship against AJ Styles at SummerSlam. But with all this off-screen tension now boiling over into social media posts and FBI tags, the storyline may have just gotten very real.
