WWE has a lot of things going on, and Dominik Mysterio is one of the top names in the company. That being said, Dirty Dom is not happy about his match this Saturday.
WWE RAW on October 27 went down at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California. The go-home episode before Saturday Night’s Main Event also included a big surprise for Dominik Mysterio.
Dirty Dom thought that the got off free and clear without a challenger for his IC Title. He was sadly mistaken when WWE RAW General Manager showed up to burst that bubble for him.
During this week’s RAW, Rusev faced Penta in a match to decide the next Intercontinental Title challenger. Members of El Grande Americanos attacked both men in the ring while El Grande Americano watched. The match ended in chaos as the assault continued. Commentary referred to the scene as a “mugging.”
Rusev then returned to the ring and fought off all three members of the group. Penta joined in and landed a strike on El Grande Americano. The match was stopped, and fans were left to wonder how this would affect the lineup for Saturday Night’s Main Event.
Later on, Adam Pearce caught Dominik Mysterio having some pleasant words with the El Grande Americanos stable. Pearce then approached Dom and told him that he will defend his IC Title against Penta and Rusev in a triple threat match on Saturday Night’s Main Event. Needless to say, Dom wasn’t thrilled about this.
Dominik Mysterio is also AAA Mega Champion. Only time will tell how long he remains a double champion, but this is certainly an interesting time to be Rey Mysterio’s son. Saturday Night’s Main Event will go down this weekend, on November 1 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
This is a very interesting title picture to watch. After all, WWE has reportedly considered one more title run for John Cena with that championship.
