CHICAGO – Dricus Du Plessis and Khamzat Chimaev had their first faceoff Thursday following a wild UFC 319 pre-fight press conference.
Reigning UFC middleweight champion Du Plessis (23-2 MMA, 9-0 UFC) will put his belt on the line for third time when he takes on undefeated contender Chimaev (14-0 MMA, 8-0 UFC) in Saturday’s headliner at United Center (ESPN+ pay-per-view, ESPN, ESPN+), and now the anticipation have gone up a level.
After exchanging words in front of a lively crowd, Du Plessis and Chimaev sized each other up in the staredown and both displayed tremendous confidence as they exchanged words.
