Drury outshot Quincy .435 to .419 from the floor, thanks in large part to a 12-of-20 (.600) effort from beyond the arc for the Lady Panthers.

Josie Storey started the game with an open three from King. Quincy answered with three of their own. A made jumper and a pair of free throws extended the Lady Panthers’ lead to 8-3 two minutes into the game.

Quincy tied it up at eight, but Drury regained their lead by the end of the first quarter, 17-12.

In the second quarter, Audra Pasakarnis assisted on a Gibbons three-pointer to grow the Lady Panthers to nine.

The Lady Panthers extended their lead to as many as 11 points in the second quarter and entered halftime up 32-26.

Drury came out of the locker room on fire. The Lady Panthers started the second half on a 14-2 run in just three minutes of play. During the run, Drury was 4-for-4 on three pointers and 5-for-5 from the field, as Storey, Gibbons, and Pasakarnis each contributed in the scoring column.

Following a Quincy timeout, Drury led by a game-high 18 points. The Hawks battled back from the deficit but entered the fourth quarter trailing, 55-42.

Quincy native and Lady Panthers freshman Sage Stratton drilled a three-pointer to start the fourth quarter. A Reagan Halliday layup from Stratton extended the Lady Panthers’ lead back to 18 one minute into the quarter.

A late push by the Hawks was cut short, as the Lady Panthers iced the game with free throws from Gibbons and Halliday.
