With the 2025 college football regular season in the books, the All-SEC Coaches’ Team has been revealed. For the Longhorns, it was a reason for celebration as they are well represented. Eight players made the cut. The Longhorns‘ heavy representation comes as no surprise after they finished the regular season with a 9-3 record.
On the All-SEC First Team, Texas will be represented by Offensive lineman Trevor Goosby, EDGE Colin Simmons, and defensive back Michael Taaffe. The All-SEC Second Team includes wide receiver Ryan Wingo, linebacker Anthony Hill Jr. defensive back Malik Muhammad, and Ryan Niblett. Rounding out the list is offensive lineman DJ Campbell, who was selected to the All-SEC Third Team.
While the Longhorns’ defense struggled at times, this list shows that their usual stars still impressed. Despite missing two games due to injury, Taaffe recorded 70 tackles, which was the second most on the team. he got some help from Simmons, who led the team with 13.5 tackles for loss and 11 sacks. As they excelled, Hill was a human highlight reel, recording 69 tackles and two interceptions.

On offense, Goosby and Campbell helped protect Manning during his first full season as a starter. As a rough first few weeks to the season, they played key roles in getting the offensive line back on track. That helped give Manning more time to find Wingo, who put together a career year. The talented wide receiver set career highs in receptions with 50 and receiving yards with 770 receiving yards.
Rounding out the Longhorns representatives is Niblett who became one of the best kick returners in the country. He finished the 2025 campaign ranked first in the SEC and fifth in the FBS in combined kick returns. The Houston native was also third in the FBS in punt return touchdowns with two. His ability to change a game with speed made Texas a harder team to plan against.
Although Texas failed to make the College Football Playoff, they do have one game left. They will travel to Orlando on Dec. 31st to take on Michigan in the Cheez-It Citrus Bowl.
