Carlos Alcaraz entered the US Open mixed doubles event with Emma Raducanu less than a day after conquering his first Cincinnati Masters title. However, their run came to a quick end following a 4-2, 4-2 loss to Jessica Pegula and Jack Draper.

Alcaraz got broken in the first game of the match after Draper's forehand winner. They all served well in the remaining games, and Pegula and Draper claimed the opener after a decisive point at 3-2.
Carlos suffered another break in the third game of the second set. The Briton and the Spaniard saved match points at 1-3 and extended the battle. Jessica served for the win in game six, and Emma saved a match point with a forehand winner.
The game went into a decisive point, and Jack landed a forehand winner after an entertaining exchange to seal the deal for his team.
"Carlos told me if I hug Jack then we are through. He gets really jealous," Emma Raducanu said.
