Erick Fedde acquired by Braves

The Braves on Sunday acquired RHP Erick Fedde and cash considerations from the St. Louis Cardinals in exchange for a player to be named later or cash considerations. To make room on the 40-man roster, Atlanta transferred RHP Grant Holmes to the 60-day injured list.

Fedde had recently been designated for assignment by St. Louis after struggling for much of the season. He had a 5.22 ERA through 20 starts and had allowed 14 home runs.

Now Fedde will slot into that injury-ravaged rotation alongside Spencer Strider and Bryce Elder.
