ESPN is replacing Doris Burke from their No. 1 broadcasting team and replacing her with Tim Legler. Burke was on the Finals for ESPN over each of the past two seasons.
Legler will join incumbents Mike Breen and Richard Jefferson. Legler is a longtime analyst at ESPN, but he has moved to game commentary over recent years.
Burke could end up on ESPN’s No. 2 broadcast team and the sides are discussing an extension.
ESPN parted ways with Jeff Van Gunde and Mark Jackson in 2023 and initially replaced them with Doc Rivers and JJ Redick. Both Rivers and Redick became head coaches in 2024.
