UFC veteran Alex Garcia was arrested among multiple suspects as part of a “major” cocaine bust in Montreal.

Garcia was one of three arrested Monday as police seized 102 kilograms of cocaine, 5 kilograms of heroin, 20 liters of GHB, $306,000 CAD (approx. $222,000 USD), three firearms, and two vehicles. Police are still looking for two other suspects.

“Launched in July 2025, this criminal investigation revealed that the Toronto area was being used as a supply source and that the drugs were then being resold at a higher price in Greater Montreal,” police said in an official release, per CTV news.

According to police, the cocaine seized is valued at over $2.3 million CAD (approx. $1.7 million USD).

Police also arrested Michele Laddaga, 49, and Victor Julio Sanchez Medrano, 45. Lenin Billy Garcia Ciriaco, 38, is known to the fighting world as Alex Garcia, nicknamed “The Dominican Nightmare.” Laddaga faces drug trafficking and possession charges. Medrano and Garcia face similar charges, plus proceeds of crime.

Police are offering rewards for information leading to the arrest of the two other suspects, Rattana Sem, 40, and Veronique Plouffe, 37.

Garcia (15-8 MMA, 5-5 UFC) last fought in March 2020, losing by second-round TKO, and extending his losing streak to four before retirement. His .500 run in the UFC from 2013-18 ended with back-to-back losses to Ryan LaFlare and Court McGee, and went on to lose two fights under the ACA banner.
