Ex-UFC title challenger tears into Paulo Costa after UFC 326 withdrawl

by

Former UFC title challenger Darren Till ripped into Paulo Costa for pulling out of UFC 326.

Costa (15-4 MMA, 7-4 UFC) was set to face Brunno Ferreira in a middleweight bout at T-Mobile Arena on March 7 in Las Vegas. “The Eraser” removed his name from the bout for undisclosed reasons.

Till, who challenged for UFC welterweight gold and also competed at middleweight, had a few scathing words for Costa after he pulled out of another fight.

“This guy is just a big jumped up joke of a juice ed. Has no respect for the sport,” Till wrote on X (formerly Twitter).

“Just quit Costa and keep doing ur secret juice gig cos it’s the only thing that works for u. Ur an absolute mongoloide. Ur a bum. Ur a whore. Quit please quit my brother. You are so so f*cking sh*t. I think you may be the worst fighter to ever fight in the ufc ever. And ur title challenge was worse than mine and that’s saying something.”

Costa fought Israel Adesanya for the middleweight title at UFC 253 in 2020, and was finished by strikes in the second round, ending his 13-fight undefeated career start. Since then, Costa has gone 2-3 in the UFC, with seven bouts either canceled or rescheduled.

Till’s title challenge at UFC 228 in 2018 against Tyron Woodley also ended in the second round, but by submission. He went on to go 1-4, fighting at 170 and 185 pounds before exiting the UFC and dabbling in boxing, where he has found success in each of his three outings, including knockouts of Anthony Taylor and former UFC champion Luke Rockhold.
