Just weeks after announcing his decommitment from Michigan State, the Oregon Ducks have been logged as an expert prediction landing spot for 2026 four-star linebacker Braylon Hodge. On3 Sports’ Greg Smith and Steve Wiltfong logged the prediction, putting a 60% confidence level as of Oct. 23.
Standing 6-foot-3 and 212 pounds, Hodge is the 18th-ranked linebacker in the 2026 class and the No. 1 player in Colorado, per 247 Sports.

Hodge had verbally committed to the Spartans in June, but rescinded his commitment and announced his intentions of focusing on three schools: Michigan, Texas and Oregon. He has offers from all three programs.
Head coach Dan Lanning and defensive coordinator Tosh Lupoi could stand to add to their linebacking core, as they have only one 2026 linebacker commit in four-star Tristan Phillips. The group will be losing defensive stalwart senior Bryce Boettcher at the conclusion of the 2025 season, with juniors Devon Jackson and Jerry Mixon as well as sophomore Blake Purchase presumably stepping into larger roles come 2026.
Though no commitment date has been set for Hodge, considering the expert predictions logged, it may be sooner rather than later for the standout 2026 linebacker.
