Having a rough Saturday? Chances are, Mariusz KsiÄ…ĹĽkiewicz has it beat.
In a series of unfortunate events, KsiÄ…ĹĽkiewicz (11-3) lost his KSW 110 bout against Sergiusz ZajÄ…c in an unimaginable way in the opening round.
After trading shots in the clinch, KsiÄ…ĹĽkiewicz unloaded a pair hard left hands, which ZajÄ…c (9-1) blocked well. A right teep kick followed, but KsiÄ…ĹĽkiewicz’s plant leg buckled underneath him, and he crashed to the canvas from a knee injury.
A bad situation immediately got worse.
ZajÄ…c was right there to capitalize on the moment and rained down hard hammerfists, putting KsiÄ…ĹĽkiewicz out cold. It all happened so fast, there’s no telling if ZajÄ…c even recognized there was an injury.

After the fight, KsiÄ…ĹĽkiewicz came to, and had to be strapped to a wheelchair to exit the cage.
