First look at Xavier’s 2025-26 non-conference men’s basketball schedule

Xavier University announced its non-conference men’s basketball schedule for the 2025-26 season on Thursday, July 10.

Xavier will play Murray State in an exhibition opener at Cintas Center on Saturday, Oct. 18 before first-year head coach Richard Pitino’s Musketeer debut against Marist on Monday, Nov. 3.

Richard Pitino is entering his first season as head coach at Xavier.

Xavier will have eight non-conference home games (plus the exhibition contest), including the annual Skyline Chili Crosstown Shootout against Cincinnati on Friday, Dec. 5.

Xavier’s lone true road game in the non-conference slate is on Friday, Nov. 14, when the Musketeers visit the Iowa Hawkeyes.

One week later, Xavier will play in the Charleston Classic, with matchups set to be announced next month. The field for the event includes Clemson, West Virginia and Georgia.

Xavier’s 20-game Big East schedule is typically released in September.

Friday, Nov. 28: vs. Texas A&M Corpus Christi

Monday, Dec. 1: vs. Saint Francis

Friday, Dec. 5: vs. Cincinnati (Skyline Chili Crosstown Shootout)

Friday, Dec. 12: vs. Missouri State
