Prior to each USC football game this season, I will be giving five predictions for the contest. Last week against Missouri State, I absolutely nailed them. Can I replicate that performance again this week?
There is only one way to find out. Here are five predictions for USC vs. Georgia Southern:

A wide receiver catches a touchdown
This would not seem like a particularly bold prediction, until you realize that the Trojans put up 73 points last week without a single touchdown by a wide receiver. That changes this week, however, as Jayden Maiava and Ja’Kobi Lane connect for a score.
100 yards for Jordan
Last week, I picked running back Waymond Jordan to score USC’s first touchdown of the season, and he did not let me down. This week, I am including Jordan in my picks again, this time to rush for over 100 yards.
Luke Huard attempts a pass
Last week, I correctly predicted that all three of USC’s scholarship quarterbacks would see the field. However, third-stringer Luke Huard did not actually attempt a pass, instead only coming in for the Trojans’ final handoff of the game. This week, Lincoln Riley lets him throw it.

Kameryn Fountain sack
Kameryn Fountain has been starting to look like a potential breakout star for USC this season. The sophomore defensive lineman continues his upward trajectory on Saturday with his second sack in as many games.
Situational mastery
Of all of the “Helton-isms” that Clay Helton was known for using in press conferences during his time as the head coach of the Trojans, perhaps none was uttered more than “situational mastery”. Here is predicting he drops the line again Saturday for old time’s sake.
