A date change has hit Alabama basketball‘s schedule for the 2025-26 season.
On Tuesday, Sept. 9, the Florida men’s basketball team announced on its X (formerly Twitter) account that the Gators’ SEC matchup with the Crimson Tide in Gainesville has been moved to a later date.

The reschedule leaves only a two-day break for Alabama before the team returns to Tuscaloosa to host Texas A&M.
The Alabama vs. Florida game was originally scheduled for Jan. 31, but has now been moved to Feb. 1.
Down the road to the Elite Eight during the 2024-25 season, Alabama suffered two losses to national champion Florida. At home in Coleman Coliseum, the Crimson Tide fell 99-94. On Mar. 15, the Gators dropped 104 points on Alabama while an injury-stricken Crimson Tide battled to put up 82 points.
