Circa Sportsbook released its College Football Playoff odds Monday, with the Gators at +350.
The 2024 season was the first time in the Napier era that Florida had a winning season and a bowl game victory. The team finished 8-5 after beating Tulane 33-8 in the Gasparilla Bowl.
Florida has found its quarterback of the future in DJ Lagway, who became the starter after Graham Mertz suffered a season-ending ACL tear versus the Tennessee Volunteers.

Circa Sportsbook is not the only one interested in Florida’s playoff chances. Joel Klatt put the Gators ninth on his list of teams that could reach their first CFP in 2025. The program has not made the playoff in the four or 12-team era.

Lagway played in 12 games with seven starts, throwing for 1,915 passing yards, 12 touchdowns and nine interceptions.
The Gators also return talent on both sides of the ball, including center Jake Slaughter, edge rusher Tyreak Sapp and receiver Eugene Wilson III.
The team added a new receiving weapon for Lagway to utilize via the transfer portal in former UCLA Bruins wide receiver J. Michael Sturdivant. Sturdivant had 912 career receiving yards and six touchdowns with the Bruins.

While landing a veteran like Sturdivant out of the portal was a big recruiting win, the Gators lost a prospect to the Georgia Bulldogs recently. Four-star safety Tyriq Green picked the Bulldogs on July 12.
Florida begins its quest for a playoff spot on August 30 against Long Island.
