Florida‘s Week 3 loss to the LSU Tigers stripped the Gators of all 70 poll points earned one week ago in the AP Top 25 rankings.
DJ Lagway’s fall from grace has many feeling hopeless about the Orange and Blue, including the AP voters. Many voters were criticized for including Florida in their top 25 last week, so this was a very easy team to drop from the ballot coming into the game. Five interceptions sealed the deal.

The top three of Ohio State, Penn State and LSU held steady. Florida’s upcoming opponent, Miami, moved into the No. 4 spot after beating USF. Georgia also saw a one-spot bump, joining the top five. The Oregon Ducks fell two spots to No. 6 after a 34-14 win over Northwestern.
The No. 7 Florida State Seminoles gained three spots on a bye, and Texas dropped to No. 8 after an unimpressive win over UTEP. The Illinois Fighting Illini (bye) and Texas A&M round out the top 10. The Aggies beat the Notre Dame Fighting Irish at the last minute to trigger the six-spot jump.

No. 20 Vanderbilt replaces South Carolina after pulling off the upset against the Gamecocks this week. Auburn is No. 22 and Missouri is No. 23.
