FSU won’t just be looking to secure bowl eligibility on Friday night vs. NC State — it’ll also be looking to secure its first win in the series since 2019.
The Seminoles have lost three straight to the Wolfpack and haven’t won in Raleigh since November 2016. NC State leads the series 7-6 over the last 15 years, including holding a 5-2 record over FSU at home over that time period.

Florida State’s offense is led by dynamic quarterback Tommy Castellanos, one of eight active players nationally with 6,000 passing yards and 1,800 rushing yards in his career. He enters the NC State game with 6,006 passing yards, 1,831 rushing yards and 68 total touchdowns.

Against Virginia Tech, Castellanos completed 12 passes for 189 yards and accounted for three touchdowns — two rushing and one passing. His three touchdowns tied a season high, and his 50-yard touchdown pass to Duce Robinson was his eighth of at least 50 yards, most in the ACC and third-most nationally.
