Former Bellator champ Vadim Nemkov re-signs with PFL

by

PFL has retained the services of one of its pound-for-pound best fighters in Vadim Nemkov.

The promotion announced this week that Nemkov (18-2), who completed his previous contract with a first-round submission of Tim Johnson in January, has inked a new multi-fight deal with the company.

Nemkov, 33, holds wins over the likes of Yoel Romero, Corey Anderson, Phil Davis and Ryan Bader. He is a pupil of legendary heavyweight Fedor Emelianenko and hasn’t tasted defeat since April 2016.

According to an interview with Ushatayka, Nemkov did have discussions with UFC during his free agency period, but claimed the offer he received was for roughly half the money proposed by PFL.

Nemkov said his contract spans for two years, at which point he said he hopes his resume will lead to a more lucrative deal.
