The Georgia Bulldogs (6-1, 4-1 SEC) play the Florida Gators (3-4, 2-2 SEC) in the World’s Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party on Saturday, Nov. 1. The Georgia–Florida game will be televised on ABC at 3:30 p.m. ET.
ABC will have Joe Tessitore (play-by-play), former Florida quarterback Jesse Palmer (analyst) and Katie Georgia (sideline reporter) in Jacksonville, Florida, to cover and commentate the game. Georgia is only seven 1/2-point favorites against Florida and has either trailed by double digits or won in a one-possession game in four of their five SEC games this season.

“We are getting ready to fire back up after a couple of days off for this big Georgia-Florida game,” Georgia coach Kirby Smart said ahead of the Florida game. “Excited again to go to Jacksonville and play in an awesome venue. It’s very unique to have the neutral site and have a split crowd. Every year we go and play in it, it’s very different from the SEC home-away atmosphere. It’s kind of weird because it sits right there in the middle, and it can be loud both ways, and it’s kind of a momentum game.”
Georgia plays a Florida team that fired head coach Billy Napier before their bye week and after their 23-21 win over Mississippi State. Florida interim coach Billy Gonzales will make his debut against Georgia.
Both Georgia and Florida had a bye last week as usual and had extra time to prepare for the Georgia-Florida game. Georgia has SEC championship and College Football Playoff hopes, while Florida would do well to just make a bowl game and end the season on a positive note. The Gators have a lot of talent, but have struggled offensively and are averaging just 22.4 points per game.
Georgia holds a 57-44-2 all time series edge against Florida. The Bulldogs have won four games in a row in the rivalry and seven of the past eight. Kirby Smart has 7-2 career record against Florida.
