But it’s still early November, and this weekend offers another chance for contenders to win over the masses.
Here are the top matchups with all four contests on Saturday.
No. 7 BYU at No. 8 Texas Tech
Saturday, Noon ET TV: ABC
The Big 12’s top matchup features undefeated BYU visiting Texas Tech. Cougars quarterback Bear Bachmeier faces a relentless Red Raider defense anchored by David Bailey and Jacob Rodriguez. Tech is determined to avoid a second loss and stay ahead of Cincinnati in the league title race.
Marcel Reed Texas A&M Aggies 092525
No. 3 Texas A&M at No. 22 Missouri
Saturday, 3:30 p.m. ET TV: ABC
Texas A&M controls its playoff fate after debuting as the top SEC team in the CFP rankings. Quarterback Marcel Reed is red-hot, accounting for eight touchdowns in two games. On the other hand, Missouri’s stingy defense but must rely on freshman Matt Zollers to keep them off the field. A tall order against an undefeated Aggies squad going for a 9-0 record.
Navy at No. 10 Notre Dame
Saturday, 7:30 p.m. ET TV: NBC/Peacock
After a costly loss at North Texas, Navy must regroup against a surging Notre Dame team led by running back Jeremiyah Love. The Irish have been dominant since September and could use a statement win to strengthen their playoff case. Especially after taking heat for being tenth in the CFP rankings.
LSU at No. 4 Alabama
Saturday, 7:30 p.m. ET TV:ABC
This might be the final regular-season clash between these bitter SEC rivals. But LSU is limping to the finish line under interim leadership and the fallout from firing Brian Kelly. A bye week might’ve switched gears for the Tigers and this could be a serious trap game for fourth-ranked Alabama. The Tide squad barely escaped South Carolina and have won seven straight after the loss to FSU. Could they be running out of gas late?
