Four new bouts announced for Australia

by

The UFC’s return to Perth is starting to get fights.

The promotion announced a quartet of fights Monday, including some of the region’s top talent. The event takes place Sept. 27 (Sept. 28 local) at RAC Arena in Western Australia.

Among the first additions is a light heavyweight scrap between Navajo Stirling and Rodolfo Bellato, two fighters known for bringing the violence. Stirling (7-0 MMA, 2-0 UFC) looks to pick up his first promotional finish after two unanimous decision victories. Bellato (12-2-1 MMA, 1-0-1 UFC) aims to shake the memory of a bizarre no contest vs. Paul Craig in June.

Also on the card, strike-heavy strawweights Loma Lookboonmee and Alexia Thainara will collide. Lookboonmee (10-3 MMA, 7-2 UFC) enters the fight on a four-fight streak. Thainara (12-1 MMA, 1-0 UFC) turned heads in her promotional debut with a dominant first-round submission of Molly McCann.

Other additions to the card include Dooho Choi (16-4-1 MMA, 5-3-1 UFC) vs. Daniel Santos (12-2 MMA, 3-1 UFC) in a featherweight bout that was first reported by Ag. Fight, and Colby Thicknesse (7-1 MMA, 0-1 UFC) vs. Josias Musasa (8-1 MMA, 0-1 UFC) in a bantamweight bout.

With the additions, the UFC Perth lineup includes:

  • Rodolfo Bellato vs. Navajo Stirling
  • Dooho Choi vs. Daniel Santos
  • Loma Lookboonmee vs. Alexia Thainara
  • Josias Musasa vs. Colby Thicknesse
