ECW legend Francine has officially shared the news her fans were hoping to hear—she does not have cancer.
After a tense few weeks filled with uncertainty, Francine revealed in an update on X that the small mass discovered in her left breast earlier this year is benign. The hardcore wrestling icon expressed relief and deep gratitude for the overwhelming support she received throughout the ordeal.
“Just got my biopsy results and NO CANCER WAS FOUND! God is good! 🙏🏼“
Back in June, Francine went public with her health scare on her Eyes Up Here podcast, explaining that a recent ultrasound uncovered a small mass that hadn’t appeared on her mammogram due to dense breast tissue.
“They said my breasts are very dense and I know a lot of women, when they get older, they go through this. Their breasts are dense, and they have to take extra precautions when they get their boobs checked. Because sometimes the mammogram doesn’t pick everything up and that’s why they do an ultrasound. So in that case, that’s what happened to me.”
“My mammogram came back clear, nothing showing really but the ultrasound picked up a mass in my left breast and it’s on the smaller side right now. But, they are concerned…”
Francine remained hopeful while awaiting further testing, and many fans took comfort in her perspective—especially when she pointed out that her appointment wasn’t rushed.
“I’m thinking if it was something that they were like, ‘Holy crap, we have to get this girl in here right away,’ they would’ve done that. So the fact that they gave me an appointment that’s a few weeks away makes me feel a little bit better.”
This wasn’t her first health scare. Francine revealed she went through something similar when she was just 21 years old, and that experience stuck with her ever since.
“I had a biopsy when I was 21 years old… and I had a mass in my left breast, same thing. Bigger, I believe, than the one I have now, and it was benign. I just remember them sticking this huge needle into my boob and extracting five to six vials of fluid to test to see if it was cancer and it wasn’t…”
Her journey resonated with fans not just for its honesty, but for her courage in speaking out—especially as her mother recently overcame breast cancer as well.
The former ECW star, who made an appearance at WWE NXT’s special from the ECW Arena in 2024, can now breathe a little easier. Her resilience continues to shine through, and her community remains behind her every step of the way.
