Since the announcement of the UFC White House, Jon Jones has been interested in returning to the octagon. While it’s unclear who his dance partner will be, an unlikely challenger in Francis Ngannou has made a blockbuster proposal for June 14.
The UFC White House event boasts an intrigue never before seen in the sport of mixed martial arts. As details continue to be shared about the showcase and the first renderings of the setup have been released, the world’s top active fighters are hoping to compete on the card—even those outside the UFC.

Francis Ngannou may have seen his time in the UFC come to a sour end, but he still has dreams of fighting under the promotion.
“Yeah, if [Jon Jones and Alex Pereira] are fighting, I’m going to turn on my clock to watch that fight,” Ngannou said regarding the UFC White House event. “But, it’s not like, ‘Wow, okay, this is the fight.’ You know?”
Francis Ngannou believes he is still the rightful UFC heavyweight champion after leaving the company without losing his title.
Hoping to continue his long-lasting feud with Jones, Ngannou shared his fight idea.
“If you want to see the biggest [event] of all time, you make it the biggest,” Ngannou continued. “The biggest fight of all time can only happen with Jon Jones and Francis Ngannou.”

Francis Ngannou is not the only name interested in a Jon Jones fight at the White House.
The aforementioned Alex Pereira insists now is the perfect time to book what he believes is a win-win affair between himself and Jones.
Though showing less interest, Tom Aspinall has a history with the former heavyweight champion. Should Jones be welcomed back for the UFC White House card, he’d be met with an opponent dilemma.
