Florida State women’s basketball (4-8, 0-1) suffered its fourth straight loss Sunday, falling 75-70 to College of Charleston (7-2) at the Donald L. Tucker Civic Center.
The game remained tight throughout. The teams were tied at 15 after the first quarter, and FSU held a slim 29-28 lead at halftime. The Seminoles built their largest lead, 65-59, with four minutes left in the fourth quarter.

Charleston responded with an 8-0 run to regain the lead. The game came down to free throws, and the Cougars converted enough to seal a stunning win over the Seminoles.
Four FSU players scored in double figures. Junior guard Emma Risch led the Seminoles with a season-high 18 points and seven rebounds. Junior center Avery Treadwell came off the bench to add 13 points and nine rebounds, going 5-for-5 from the field. Jasmine Shavers scored 12 points with seven rebounds, and Sole Williams had 10. Taylor Barbot paced Charleston with 20 points.
FSU returns home to face Virginia Tech in its second ACC matchup at 6 p.m.
