Penn State women’s baksetball is looking to get back to the winning ways of the program after a tough season a year ago. The Lady Lions are coming off a 10-19 season and are entering the sixth season under head coach Carolyn Kieger. Penn State is hoping for its second winning season in three years and to make its first appearance in the NCAA women’s baksetball tournament since 2014. It’s been a long time coming, so will this be the year the drought ends for a program that once made regular trips to the postseason tournament?
Penn State faces some good challenges this season. In addition to its Big Ten slate, Penn State will play a road game at perennial national powerhouse South Carolina in mid-December. That will be followed by participating in The Culture Tournament against VCU and Richmond a week later. Penn State will also compete in the Battle 4 Atlantis in Nassau in late November.

Penn State will play Division 2 California (Pennsylvania) in an exhibition game prior to the start of the regular season.
