Gautam Gambhir warned by World Cup winner as this spinner’s participation made mandatory for 4th Test

India has picked several bowlers in the squad for the England tour; however, the focus has always been around one name, Jasprit Bumrah. Several legends have urged that Jasprit Bumrah should feature in the remaining two Tests, keeping aside his workload worries.

India has already lost two matches in the series, one at Headingley and the other at Lord’s. However, despite India’s strong performances, head coach Gautam Gambhir is yet to acquire the desired results with the Test side.

India outperformed England at Edgbaston, and Gautam Gambhir decided not to budge an inch from his pre-decided tactics of making Bumrah play in only 3 matches, whatever the scoreline.

However, losing further games, he has received immense suggestions from players and cricket pundits, but till now, Gambhir has decided to abide by his plans without listening to others.

Former Australian wants to see this Indian player at Manchester

The former Australian captain, Michael Clarke, has now advised the Indian head coach, Gautam Gambhir and the Indian skipper, Shubman Gill, to finally bring Kuldeep Yadav into the Indian Playing 11.

With the series now at 2-1, all eyes are now on Jasprit Bumrah’s availability for the fourth Test at Manchester, since he is supposed to play only 3 games. However, spinner Kuldeep is yet to play a single game in the series.

“India can hold their heads high, particularly Jadeja, but again, look, I have said it openly. I would still like to see Kuldeep Yadav in that XI. Bring him in. But now I don’t know how.”

“Washington Sundar bowled brilliantly, scored some handy runs. Jadeja’s batting has been phenomenal. He has saved India on a number of occasions, won India games on a number of occasions.”

“I think if we had somebody hold the other end and didn’t get out, he would have gotten them home at Lord’s. I felt for him. And, I felt for India as well. Games like that you would,” said Michael Clarke.

Ajinkya Rahane makes a request to Gautam Gambhir

Though India failed to be promising with the bat in the third Test and received immense criticism for their weak batting stance, former Indian batter Ajinkya Rahane has called for an odd change in the Indian 11 for the Manchester Test.

India were remarkable with the ball, first restricting England’s Bazball style of play as they forced the Three Lions to adopt orthodox ways of Test cricket in the first innings, and then later bowling them out for just 192 in the second innings.

Despite such an impact from the Indian bowling deck, Rahane has urged Gautam Gambhir to take an additional bowler for the Manchester Test, as he still believes that it is taking 20 wickets that wins you a game.

Jasprit Bumrah is all set to play at Old Trafford

Jasprit Bumrah has been the backbone of India’s Test bowling attack. In Bumrah’s absence, the Indian attack has struggled to pick up wickets and exert pressure on the opposition. However, this time around, when Bumrah was rested at Edgbaston, Mohammed Siraj and Akash Deep stepped in for India and led to their victory.

However, Bumrah has been sensational as always, and for many, if India is to keep their hopes alive in the series where they are already lagging, they will have to make Bumrah play in all of the remaining games.

Gautam Gambhir’s deputy, India’s assistant coach Ryan ten Doeschate, has finally made something clear on the star pacer’s availability. He said the team is hoping for his availability, but a final call will be made only in Manchester.
