The Georgia Bulldogs have lost to the Alabama Crimson Tide yet again. Georgia fell 24-21 at home in front of an electric atmosphere at Sanford Stadium to Alabama.

Alabama has won 10 of the last 11 meetings against Georgia and is 7-1 against Georgia coach Kirby Smart. The Bulldogs drop to 3-1 and 1-1 in SEC play while Alabama moves to 3-1 and 1-0 in SEC action.

Alabama raced out to a 14-0 lead against Georgia thanks to a pair of 14-play drives with numerous third down conversions. The Crimson Tide and quarterback Ty Simpson converted eight consecutive third downs to start the game against Georgia. The Dawgs’ defense simply could not get off the field, but limited explosive plays.

The Bulldogs fought back thanks to a physical rushing attack. Georgia ran for 227 yards, but struggled at times to convert big passing plays. Quarterback Gunner Stockton finished the game with just 130 passing yards. He threw a touchdown and completed 13 of 20 passes.

Alabama controlled the ball most of the game, which limited Georgia’s offensive possessions. The Crimson Tide possessed the ball for over 35 minutes and did not turn the ball over.

Alabama was the more disciplined team. The Crimson Tide committed just four penalties for 16 yards while Georgia had six penalties for 68 yards and one turnover that led to an Alabama field goal.
