The Georgia Bulldogs are relatively healthy entering their season opener against the Marshall Thundering Herd. Georgia won’t have to do an SEC injury report until Week 3 and with limited (if any) practice availability for the media, it is hard to judge who will be playing for Georgia.
For this game we are only reporting Georgia’s injuries and potential absences. Without an official injury report, Georgia coach Kirby Smart is the primary source of injury updates. Georgia will be without at least one offensive lineman and possibly more for Saturday.

“Malachi’s (Toliver) working himself back,” Georgia coach Kirby Smart said. “He’s back to doing individual drills, and running, and moving, and snapping. He’s up in team drills, and he’ll be getting back in those next week.”
Toliver is not the only Georgia player expected to miss the Marshall game. Punter Brett Thorson, who is an All-American, is working his way back from knee surgery and may not be able to play this week, but he is doing some punting.
“He punted in some punt situations today, so I don’t know yet if he’s going to be clear,” Smart said. “He’s going to be clear to kick, but there’s more to it than kicking, just like the way he got injured, right? He has to get clear to that point, I don’t know if we’re to that point yet, but he’s kicking in action now.”
If Brett Thorson misses the Marshall game, then Drew Miller is expected to start at punter.
