A verified GoFundMe campaign has officially been launched to support independent wrestler Syko Stu—real name Stuart Smith—after he was hospitalized from a real-life attack during a KnokX Pro Wrestling Academy event on August 23.
The incident, which involved Raja Jackson—the son of MMA legend Quinton “Rampage” Jackson—left Stu with serious injuries including broken facial bones and severe dental damage. The attack occurred following a backstage confrontation where KnokX Pro’s AJ Mana was caught on camera instructing Raja to “give him his f**king receipt” in response to a botched spot.
Now, with Syko Stu facing a long road to recovery, his loved ones have launched an official fundraiser to assist with medical bills and loss of income. The GoFundMe reads:
“Hello everyone, I’m reaching out to get support for Stuart Smith better known as SykoStu. On August 23rd he was involved in an unscripted assault that has left him in the hospital with intense recovery needed to regain good health.”
“Stuart Smith is a U.S. Army veteran who used wrestling as an outlet to deal with his PTSD. This incident has not only caused major physical harm, but will also disrupt his career inside the ring and outside of it.”
“Any donation will be used to cover uncovered medical expenses, recovery support, and loss of income. Thank you so much for everyone’s support as we get through these trying times.”
The family had previously warned fans about fake donation links circulating online. With this verified campaign now active, fans and friends have a safe and direct way to show support. Syko Stu’s brother, Andrew Smith, also shared a hopeful update after the launch of the GoFundMe:
“Stuart is conscious and does have some recollection of events from the day of the attack. He’s currently resting and says, ‘Thank you for the love and support.’”
As the LAPD continues its investigation and the wrestling world keeps a close eye on the fallout, all eyes are now on helping Stuart recover physically, emotionally, and financially.
