For the second week in a row, the Gonzaga Bulldogs (17-1, 5-0 WCC) have dropped another spot in the AP Poll. The Zags stand at No. 9 now and have 1,050 total points from the voters.
The Saint Mary’s Gaels (16-2, 5-0 WCC) received 17 total points.
All nine of the power programs on Gonzaga’s non-conference schedule took a loss this week (Oklahoma Sooners, Creighton Bluejays, Arizona State Sun Devils, Alabama Crimson Tide, Maryland Terrapins, Michigan Wolverines, Kentucky Wildcats, UCLA Bruins, Oregon Ducks), which won’t help their KenPom and NET rankings at all.

In the NET rankings, coach Mark Few’s group dropped to No. 6 amongst all college basketball programs. However, the Zags still remain 3-1 in Quad 1 opportunities, 4-0 in Quad 2.
As for KenPom, Gonzaga drops to No. 6 (No. 6-ranked offense, No. 12-ranked defense). In Bart Torvik, the Zags are placed at No. 9. As for EvanMiya, Gonzaga is out of the top-10. Despite all these changes amongst the prominent ranking tools, they’re still on the No. 2 seed line for the NCAA Tournament, inching backwards towards the No. 3 line.
The Zags continue their undefeated stretch in West Coast Conference play at the nearby Washington State Cougars (8-10, 3-2 WCC) in Pullman on Thursday, Jan. 15. Tip-off is at 7:00 p.m. PT on the CBS Sports Network.
