Greg Biffle’s home burglarized by thieves weeks after fatal plane crash

NASCAR legend Greg Biffle, his wife Cristina, their son Ryder and his daughter Emma were among seven killed in a tragic plane crash on December 18th in Statesville, North Carolina. Dennis Dutton, son Jack Dutton, and Craig Wadsworth were also killed in the the accident, which remains under investigation from the NTSB.

Weeks later, WCNC Charlotte and other local outlets report that the Mooresville estate of Biffle was burglarized with the thieves making off with $30,000 in cash and a backpack. According to an Iredell County Sheriff’s Office police report, the incident took place after 6pm EST. on January 8th. There were signs of forced entry.

No arrests have been made at this time. Cathy Rose Grossu (Cristina’s mother) and Jordyn Biffle Carpenter (Greg’s niece) are the names listed on the police report that was filed.

A public remembrance event honoring the victims of the plane crash is scheduled for Friday, January 16th at Bojangles Coliseum in Charlotte, NC.

Biffle was recently named one of NASCAR’s 75 Greatest Drivers, and was a champion of both the NASCAR Craftsman Truck and O’Reilly Auto Parts Series. Among his 56 wins across the three national divisions of the sport were 19 victories in the Cup Series, including back-to-back wins in the Southern 500 at Darlington. He started 515 Cup races between 2002 and 2022.
