Paige VanStee has been the glue that has held the Grand Valley State women’s basketball team together for the past four years.
The senior has played every position, started, come off the bench, scored, rebounded, blocked shots, snagged steals, led with emotion and done everything she can to help the Lakers become an NCAA championship team.

A year after coming off the bench, she has emerged as GVSU’s leading scorer, to go along with her being the emotional leader on the court.
That kind of player reaches milestones and VanStee achieved 1,000 career points during a 75-37 win at Roosevelt on Saturday, Jan. 24.
“I am very grateful to be a part of a program where everyone’s successes are celebrated so much by everyone,” VanStee said. “The family, friends and supporters of GVSU women’s basketball are incredible people and I thank God every day for them.”
