The Mariners 40-man roster remains full at 40 players and Seattle’s 28-man active roster is now at 27 players (28 including Victor Robles).

Ford, 22, will make his Major League debut when he first appears in a game. In 97 games with Triple-A Tacoma this season, the top prospect is batting .283 (106×374) with 68 runs, 18 doubles, 16 home runs, 74 RBI, 74 walks and 7 stolen bases, getting on base at a .408 clip, slugging .460 with an .868 OPS.

With Ford added to the roster, Seattle has its first round draft selection from 5 consecutive drafts on the active roster: RHP Logan Gilbert (2018), RHP George Kirby (2019), RHP Emerson Hancock (2020), C Harry Ford (2021) and INF Cole Young (2022).

Ford is a consensus top-100 prospect in baseball, appearing in top 100 lists published by MLB Pipeline (No. 40), Baseball America (No. 76), FanGraphs (No. 67), ESPN (No. 65) and The Athletic (No. 79). Ford has appeared in each of the last 3 MLB Futures during All-Star Week.

He was selected by the Seattle Mariners in the 1st round (12th overall) of the 2021 MLB First-Year Player Draft out of North Cobb High School (Georgia). He has appeared 5 minor league seasons (2021-c), all in the Mariners organization, batting .266 (450×1693) with 330 runs, 98 doubles, 10 triples, 52 homers, 261 RBI, 92 stolen bases and 348 walks, posting a .405 on-base percentage, slugging .428 with an .832 OPS.

Jackson, 34, signed a minor league contract with the Mariners on Aug. 21 after spending time in the Texas Rangers and Detroit Tigers organizations earlier this season. Jackson has appeared in 3 games with Triple-A Tacoma since joining the Mariners organization, posting a 7.71 ERA (2 ER, 2.1 IP) with 4 strikeouts and no walks.

Jackson has appeared in 10 Major League seasons with Texas (2015-16, ’25), Atlanta (2017-21, ’24), San Francisco (2023-24) and Detroit (2025). In 380 relief appearances, the right-hander is 24-16 with 28 saves and a 4.27 ERA (189 ER, 398.0 IP) with 414 strikeouts and 183 walks.

The Fort Lauderdale, Florida native was originally selected by the Rangers in the 1st round (45th overall) of the 2010 MLB First-Year Player Draft out of Calvary Christian Academy (FL). He made his MLB debut for the Rangers on Sept. 4, 2015. Jackson recorded a career-high 18 saves for the 2019 Braves, and was a key piece on the 2021 World Series Champion Atlanta team, making 11 Postseason appearances during their run.

Rivas (REE-vahs), 27, returns to the big leagues after appearing in 30 games with the Mariners earlier this season. With Seattle this year, Rivas reached base at a .411 clip in 73 plate appearances, batting .283 (17×60) with 4 stolen bases. In 66 games with Triple-A Tacoma, Rivas is batting .318 (71×223) with 63 runs, 8 doubles, 2 triples, 10 homers, 46 RBI, 24 stolen bases and 62 walks compared to just 59 strikeouts, posting a .978 OPS.

The Maracay, Venezuela native has appeared in parts of 10 minor league seasons in the Angels (2015-19), Reds (2021-22) and Mariners (2022-c) systems. He has also appeared in parts of 2 Major League seasons with Seattle batting .256 (34×133) with 24 runs, 2 doubles, 1 triple, 12 RBI, 7 stolen bases and a .655 OPS in 73 games. The 5-foot-8 150-pound switch hitter made his MLB debut on April 28, 2024 becoming the fourth player in Mariners history to triple in his first career plate appearance.

Lao (rhymes with ‘how’), 26, has made 2 relief appearances with Seattle this season: on April 22 at Boston and Aug. 20 at Philadelphia. He made his Major League debut in the April 22 game, tossing 1.2 innings with 3 strikeouts. He has appeared in 22 games (19 starts) with Triple-A Tacoma this season, going 2-4 with 1 save, a 3.13 ERA (24 ER, 69.0 IP), 19 walks and 73 strikeouts.

The 6-foot-2 righty was originally signed by the Dodgers as an international free agent out of the Dominican Republic on October 2, 2015. He originally signed as a position player, playing first base and the corner outfield spots, and converted to a pitcher prior to the 2023 season.

Solano (so-LAH-no), 37, played in 69 games with the Mariners this season after signing a 1-year Major League contract on Jan. 13. Solano hit .252 (41×163) with 10 runs, 4 doubles, 1 triple, 3 home runs, 21 RBI and 8 walks.

The Colombian-born infielder has appeared in parts of 12 Major League seasons with Miami (2012-15), New York-AL (2016), San Francisco (2019-21), Cincinnati (2022), Minnesota (2023), San Diego (2024) and Seattle (2025), batting .278 (805×2898) with 289 runs, 144 doubles, 10 triples, 43 home runs, 300 RBI and 15 stolen bases, getting on base at a .333 clip and slugging .379 (.712 OPS) in 985 games.
