Times and television information will be released in the coming weeks. The nonconference slate was announced previously. MU is also playing two closed-door scrimmages before the season, Oct. 9 vs. Missouri and Oct. 16 at Colorado.
Here is a closer look at MU’s 20-game conference schedule:
When does Marquette play St. John’s and Connecticut?
St. John’s, the defending conference champion, and Connecticut are widely seen as the top teams in the Big East. Both likely will start the season as top-10 teams in the national polls.

MU plays at Connecticut on Jan. 4 in its on-campus arena, then at Fiserv Forum on March 7 to close the regular season.
The Golden Eagles play St. John’s on Jan. 13 at Madison Square Garden in New York, then at home on Feb. 18.
What is the toughest stretch for Marquette?
In the transfer portal era, it’s hard to predict how reshaped rosters will work on the court. But MU faces a tough stretch in February, playing two road games – at Villanova and new coach Kevin Willard on Feb. 10 and at Xavier and new coach Richard Pitino on Feb. 14 – before facing St. John’s at home on Feb. 18.
When are the bye weeks for Marquette?
The Golden Eagles play at Creighton on Dec. 20, then have a 10-day break for finals until facing Seton Hall on Dec. 30 at Fiserv Forum.
