Yikes.
Former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) fighter–turned BKFC brawler Aspen Ladd’s younger brother, Shealor Ladd, was knocked unconscious by Joe Taylor at LFA 223 last week (Fri., Nov. 21, 2025) inside Seneca Niagara Resort & Casino in Niagara Falls, New York.

Taylor, a 41-year-old who was retiring after the bout, caught Ladd with a clean right hand as the young prospect crashed forward — seemingly trying to clinch or force a takedown — and shut his lights out instantly.
It obviously didn’t work for the -1000 betting favorite.
Watch the knockout below:
Ladd (3-1) entered the fight as a rising Light Heavyweight prospect, previously undefeated as an amateur (9-0) with six finishes and three knockout wins since turning pro earlier this year. While this loss is a brutal setback, the 22-year-old still has plenty of time to recover and continue his development in mixed martial arts (MMA).

Meanwhile, Taylor walks away with a highlight-reel win to cap off his fighting career — technically two wins if you count his boxing victory earlier this year — retiring with a 7-2 record. His only losses came against Contender Series veterans Phillip Latu and Justin Sumter. For what it’s worth, he also competed in kickboxing five times during his career.
