Holger Rune revealed some details about his dating life and preferences as the Dane admits to having a dating app but also that he prefers simple things when it comes to potential dates.
The 11th-ranked player joined Ajla Tomljanovic for a conversation on Tennis Channel. And one of the things they touched was his love life.
“I think a nice date setting is either to go for a walk or to go for a drink. A proper dinner is too much sometimes," Rune explained when explaining how he likes his dates.
Rune may be a tennis star but even his dates don't go smoothly as the five-time ATP champion reveals he has had dates where he would be the one mostly talking. And that's something he doesn't find really comfortable because he starts having certain doubles.
“If they don’t speak much, it’s tough. I’ve had situations where I end up mostly speaking, and then I start wondering, are they even interested in what I’m doing?” the 2022 Paris Masters champion said.
Rune: I have a dating app, but haven't found anyone interesting
In the modern age, single individuals usually turn to dating apps to find someone interesting. When asked if he has one, Rune confirmed that's the case. However, he also suggested that he doesn't use it much and that he has yet to find someone "interesting" on the app.
“Not really, but I do have an app. It’s tough. I haven’t found anyone interesting so far. I think it’s much better to meet someone in real life," the 22-year-old admitted.
In July, Rune found himself in a bit of an uncomfortable situation after 28-year-old Veronika Kudermetova revealed that he slid into her DMs, only for her to tell him that she was married and "too old" for him.
