Holger Rune reveals he recently purchased his first luxurious car after drawing inspiration from Novak Djokovic.
In 2022 and 2023, the Danish tennis star made it all the way at the ATP 250 tournament in Munich. Since BMW is the tournament's main sponsor, the world No. 11 was also gifted with two BMWs for his back-to-back Munich triumphs. However, he wasn't able to drive the cars because he still didn't have a driver's license.
In March, Rune noticed Djokovic driving a Porsche 911 model. And the 2022 Paris Masters champion instantly fell in love with the car.
Rune: I saw Djokovic driving it and thought, 'This car is amazing'
"Recently I bought my first car. I already had a few from winning Munich, but this is the first one I actually bought myself. I saw Novak driving it in Miami this year and thought, ‘Oh wow, this car is amazing.’ It’s a Porsche 911. I said, 'Why not? I can’t drive it yet though. I just started learning — had a few lessons but then went to China," the 22-year-old Dane admitted.
Wish I had a problem like 🇩🇰 Holger Rune — buying a Porsche 911 without even having a driver’s license.

The starting price for a new Porsche 911 model starts at $122k, while a new 911 GT3 RS starts around $241k.
Considering that Rune's garage now includes two BMWs and a Porsche, it is safe to say that the Danish tennis star won't be lacking luxurious driving options when he gets his license.
Meanwhile, Rune is competing at the Stockholm Open this week, where he had a first-round bye and meets Marton Fucsovics in the round-of-16.
