Daniel Cormier expects there to be no major issues while filming a reality show with Jon Jones.
Cormier will coach opposite Jones on Season 3 of ALF Global’s “Alf Reality” series, a Russian version of “The Ultimate Fighter.”

Jones and Cormier engaged in one of the biggest rivalries in UFC history, which saw two light heavyweight title fights. Cormier suffered his first-career loss to Jones by unanimous decision at UFC 182 then lost their rematch by knockout at UFC 214 – a result that was later overturned to a no contest after Jones failed a post-fight drug test.
“Being around Jon Jones, it’s different because we had such a bad history, but the reality is I’m done fighting now, and that part of it is gone,” Cormier told Red Corner MMA. “So it’s not nearly as nasty, but I think we’ve done a good job of being professional as much as we can. Obviously we argue a lot, but that’s just the status of our relationship. But I think that we’ve gotten to a point in our lives where we can be in the same area without trying to fight each other.”
However, Cormier’s competitive spirit hasn’t wavered. He is still open to competing against Jones.
“Grappling? I don’t know so much,” Cormier said. “Wrestling? Yeah, I’ll wrestle Jon Jones. They can give me and Jon Jones a wrestling match. Whoever wants to pay for that, tell us. We’ll wrestle, me and Jon Jones. Freestyle wrestling, me and Jon Jones, two-three minute periods. It won’t take long, though. It would be a wipeout.”
