How every Alabama transfer addition has performed so far this season

This past offseason, the Alabama Crimson Tide were certainly active in terms of adding talent via the transfer portal.

Overall, Alabama brought in over 10+ players from the transfer portal, a majority of which came on the offensive side of the ball. On defense, the Crimson Tide also brought in multiple impact players, as did Alabama on special teams.

Now four games into the season as well, many of those names have gone on to enjoy solid starts to the year for the Crimson Tide, some of which have come in starting roles.

Here is a look at how every Alabama offseason transfer portal addition has performed across the first four games of the 2025 season.

Dre Washington, Running Back, Redshirt Senior

The Louisiana transfer has served as a backup running back for the Crimson Tide so far this season, and has played in all four games. Washington has rushed for 36 yards on nine attempts, as well as hauled in one catch for 15 yards.

Isaiah Horton, Wide Receiver, Redshirt Junior

One of Alabama’s most impactful transfer portal additions early in the season has been Horton, a wide receiver who came from Miami. A starter who has appeared in all four games this season, Horton has 14 receptions for 170 yards and four touchdowns so far.

Brody Dalton, Tight End, Redshirt Senior

Dalton, a Troy tight end transfer, has yet to compile any stats this season.

Jack Sammarco, Tight End, Sophomore

Sammarco, a transfer from West Virginia, has yet to compile any stats so far this season.

Peter Knudson, Tight End, Redshirt Senior

Knudson, a tight end who transferred from Weber State, has yet to record any stats this fall.

Kam Dewberry, Offensive Line, Senior

Dewberry has been among Alabama’s most impactful transfer portal additions so far this season. The Texas A&M transfer has started all four games at left guard, and is likely to be a key member of Alabama’s offensive line over the remainder of the season.

Arkel Anugwom, Offensive Line, Redshirt Sophomore

A Ball State transfer, Anugwom has served as a backup offensive lineman for the Crimson Tide so far this season.

Kelby Collins, Defensive Tackle, Junior

The Florida transfer has seen a limited amount of action along Alabama’s defensive line, appearing in four games. Collins has five tackles and one TFL so far this season.

Nikhai Hill-Green, Inside Linebacker, Graduate Student

Hill-Green, a graduate student transfer from Colorado, has been one of Alabama’s most impactful portal additions so far this season. The inside linebacker has made 12 tackles across four games this season.

Cam Calhoun, Cornerback, Redshirt Sophomore

The Utah transfer has appeared in all four games this season for Alabama at cornerback. Calhoun has made three tackles with one pass defense and a fumble recovery.

Blake Doud, Punter, Redshirt Senior

Doud has stepped in as Alabama’s starting punter this season, and is enjoying a solid start to the year. The transfer from Division II Colorado School of Mines has punted eight times for 354 yards through four games, translating to an average of 44.3 yards per punt.

David Bird, Long Snapper, Junior

Lastly, Bird transferred from California during the offseason, and is now Alabama’s starting long snapper. Bird has yet to have a bad snap on punts.
